안양시가 지난 5월 31일부터 6월 1일까지 이틀간 안양종합운동장 일원에서 ‘제22회 안양스마T움축제’를 개최했다.

이번 축제에는 총 4만여명의 관람객이 ‘상상을 현실로! 안양스마T움에서 미래를 만나다’라는 슬로건 아래 4차 산업혁명의 최신 기술들을 직접 체험할 수 있는 프로그램에 참여했다.

‘제22회 안양스마T움축제’는 확장현실(XR) 라이딩 체험프로그램과 증강현실(AR) 보물찾기를 비롯해 인공지능(AI) 기술이 적용된 작곡가 피아노 연주·맞춤색상(퍼스널컬러) 진단, 인간형(휴머노이드) 로봇 체험, 홀로그램 공연 등으로 더욱 다채롭고 실감나는 콘텐츠로 온 가족이 함께 즐기는 정보과학 축제로 자리매김했다.

청소년 드론축구대회는 박진감 넘치는 경기로 참가자뿐 아니라 관람객들의 큰 호응을 얻었다. 안양시 관내 초·중·고 학생들이 직접 운영한 친환경 과학탐구체험관도 관람객들의 발길을 붙잡았다.

인기 과학 크리에이터 허성범의 특강은 청소년은 물론 학부모들의 큰 관심을 끌었으며, 어린이들을 대상으로 한 스마트폰 중독 예방 인형극은 올바른 디지털 기기 사용 습관을 유도하며 재미에 교육적 효과까지 더했다.

안양시는 드론, 코딩 및 로봇 등 3개 분야 8개 종목의 경진대회를 진행해 수상자들에게 과학기술정보통신부 장관상 등 79점의 상장을 수여했다.

최대호 안양시장, 박준모 안양시의회 의장 등 주요 내외빈은 5월 31일 오후 1시 행사장 내 스마T움존에서 개최된 개회식에 참석해 축제의 시작을 축하했다. 이날 개회식은 축제 중점 테마를 시각화한 홀로그램 공연으로 화려하게 문을 열며 관람객들에게 깊은 인상을 남겼다.
