과천시가 지난 6월 5일 오후 ‘한국마사회와 함께하는 공모사업’에 선정된 사회복지 단체·기관 10곳에 총 8,000만 원의 기부금 전달식을 개최했다.

과천시와 한국마사회는 2023년 업무협약을 체결한 이후, 지역사회 복지 향상을 위한 공헌사업을 공동 추진, 매년 기부금을 통해 지역 수요에 맞는 사회복지사업을 발굴·지원하고 있다.

기부금 전달식에는 송용욱 과천시 부시장, 김삼두 한국마사회 홍보실장, 기관 대표 등 50여명이 참석했다.

올해 공모사업에는 △과천시장애인복지관의 장애친화상점 ‘다(多) 행복한 과천’ △과천종합사회복지관 갈현센터의 청·중년 1인 가구 지원사업 ‘함께, 같이(가치)’ △과천시 연합 다함께돌봄센터의 체육대회를 포함해 과천큰소망 노인복지센터·꿈나눔과천지역아동센터·라온숲 다함께돌봄센터·울림터장애인자립생활지원센터·중앙동 다함께돌봄센터·행복나무보호작업장·행복드림 다함께돌봄센터 등 10개 기관의 복지사업이 선정됐다.

정기환 한국마사회 회장은 “지역사회와 함께 성장하는 것이 중요하다”며, “이번 기부가 지역 복지 증진에 도움이 되길 바라며, 앞으로도 지속적인 지원을 이어가겠다”라고 말했다.

신계용 과천시장은 “선정된 기관들이 다양한 프로그램을 통해 실질적인 변화를 만들어가길 바라며, 앞으로도 협력을 강화해 지역사회 전체가 함께 성장할 수 있도록 하겠다”라고 밝혔다.

On the afternoon of June 5, Gwacheon City held a ceremony to deliver a total of 80 million won in donations to 10 social welfare organizations and institutions selected for the ‘Korea Racing Association Public Offering Project’.

Since signing a business agreement in 2023, Gwacheon City and Korea Racing Association have been jointly promoting contribution projects to improve local community welfare, and have been discovering and supporting social welfare projects that meet local needs through donations every year.

About 50 people, including Gwacheon City Vice Mayor Song Yong-wook, Korea Racing Association Public Relations Director Kim Sam-du, and organization representatives, attended the donation delivery ceremony.
