안양시청소년재단(이사장 최대호) 산하 호계청소년문화의집(소장 김진희)이 지난 5월 31일 ‘필사적 기억’ 프로그램의 일환으로 독립기념관 현장 체험활동을 진행했다.

‘필사적 기억’은 2025년 국가보훈부 주관 ‘보훈해봄’ 공모사업에 선정된 프로그램.

호계청소년문화의집은 ‘필사적 기억’ 프로그램 참여자인 안양부흥중학교 청소년 15명과 함께 독립기념관을 찾아 우리말과 글을 지킨 독립운동가들에 대해 기억하고 국가와 우리말의 소중함을 배우는 시간을 가졌다.

현장 체험활동에 참여한 한 학생은 “독립기념관 방문 및 미션활동을 통해 우리나라의 독립 역사에 대해 마음으로 배우는 시간이 됐다”며, “앞으로도 독립운동가들의 나라 사랑 정신을 기억할 수 있는 활동에 참여하고 싶다”고 말했다.

호계청소년문화의집은 현장 체험활동에 앞서 역사 전문 교육을 진행했다. 필사적 기억 프로그램 참여 청소년들은 추후 필사집 기획 및 제작, 필사집 배포에 이르기까지 전 과정에 참여하며 독립 역사 인식 향상에 나설 계획이다.

Participants of Hogye Youth Culture Center’s ‘Desperate Memory’ Visit the Independence Hall

On May 31, Hogye Youth Culture Center (Director Kim Jin-hee), an affiliate of Anyang Youth Foundation (Chairman Choi Dae-ho), conducted an on-site experience activity at the Independence Hall as part of the ‘Desperate Memory’ program.

‘Desperate Memory’ is a program selected for the ‘Veterans’ Day’ contest hosted by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs in 2025.

Hogye Youth Culture Center visited the Independence Hall with 15 Anyang Buheung Middle School students who participated in the ‘Desperate Memory’ program, and spent time remembering independence activists who protected our language and writing and learning about the importance of our country and language.

One student who participated in the on-site experience activity said, “Through the visit to the Independence Hall and the mission activity, I was able to learn about our country’s independence history with my heart,” and “I want to continue to participate in activities that can remember the independence activists’ spirit of love for their country.” The Hogye Youth Culture Center conducted specialized historical education prior to the field experience activities. The youth participating in the Desperate Memory Program plan to participate in the entire process from planning and producing the manuscript collection to distributing the manuscript collection, thereby improving their awareness of independent history.
