경기도의회 문화체육관광위원회(위원장 황대호)가 지난 6월 5일 중국 장쑤성을 방문, 장쑤성 인민대표대회 외사위원회와 정책간담회를 갖고, 양 지역 간의 문화교류 활성화 및 문화예술체육관광 관련 주요정책에 대해 논의했다.

황대호 위원장(더불어민주당, 수원3)은 간담회에서 “지난 2024년 6월 경기도와 장쑤성이 자매결연을 체결해 양 지역 간 더 확장적인 교류가 진행될 예정”이라며, “특히 장쑤성 난징은 우리 독립운동의 역사와 큰 연이 있는 지역인 만큼 경기도의회 차원에서 더 적극적인 교류 활동을 진행할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

이번 간담회는 지난해 12월 경기도의회 문화체육관광위원회를 방문한 난징항공우주대학교 반주롱 예술대학장의 초청으로 성사됐다.

간담회 이후, 경기도의회 문화체육관광위원회와 난징항공우주대학은 ‘경기도-장쑤성 국제문화예술교류 활성화를 위한 업무협약’을 체결해 양 지역 사이의 국제문화예술 분야 교류와 협력 증진을 합의했다.

경기도의회 문화체육관광위원회는 6월 5일부터 7일까지 진행된 이번 방문에서 제4회 국제문화다양성 포럼에 참석해 한국, 중국, 태국, 베트남, 인도네시아, 필리핀 등 아시아 각국의 학자 및 문화기관 관계자들과 만나 경기도와 경기도의회 차원의 문화체육관광분야 국제교류 방안에 대해 논의했다.

황대호 위원장은 “오징어게임, 한강 작가의 노벨상 수상, ‘폭싹 속았수다’까지 K-콘텐츠가 세계 문화의 중심에 서 있다”며, “대한민국 문화의 중심 경기도가 K-콘텐츠 수출의 중심지가 될 수 있도록 경기도의회 차원에서 적극적인 자치문화외교와 국제시장 개척을 위해 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

이번 방문에는 황대호 위원장을 비롯, 경기도의회 문화체육관광위원회 유영두 부위원장(국민의힘, 광주1), 조미자 부위원장(더불어민주당, 남양주3), 홍원길 위원(국민의힘, 김포1)과 정은혜 전 국회의원, 전홍덕 아시아문화한림원 원장이 함께했다.
