경기도교육청(교육감 임태희)이 전국 최초로 초·중등 진로전담교사 네트워크를 구성, 진로전담교사 2,536명을 대상으로 714시간의 역량 강화 연수를 본격 추진한다.
네트워크 연수 주요 내용은 △인공지능(AI) 기반 진로진학 지원시스템 ‘꿈it(잇)다’ 활용, △2022 개정 교육과정 연계 진로교육, △진로체험교육 활성화를 위한 ‘꿈길’, △지역별 교원 자율 참여형 연수 등이다.
진로교육 내실화를 위한 다양한 연간 사업은 △진로전담교사 워크숍, △경기진로교육 실천사례 공모, △경기진로교육 페스타(FESTA), △진로박람회 등 현장 중심 진로교육을 강화할 계획이다.
경기도교육청은 지난 3월 경기도 내 모든 교육지원청에 운영비를 배부하고, 지역별 초·중등 진로전담교사 네트워크 구성을 완료했다.
진로전담교사는 진로교육법에 따라 초·중·고교에서 진로교육을 담당하는 핵심 인력으로 중등 진로전담교사는 진로진학상담교사 자격증을 보유한 전문 교원이나 초등의 경우 학교장이 지정한 보직교사 중심으로 운영해 전문성과 지속성 확보가 어려웠다.
경기도교육청은 교사 간 자율 협력과 실천 중심 진로교육 문화 확대를 위한 실효적 정책을 단계적으로 추진하고 있다. 특히 초등 진로전담교사 네트워크 중심 연수 운영은 전국 최초로 시행할 예정이다.
