경기도가 국정기획위 산하 국가균형성장특별위원회가 지난 7월 8일 오전 주최한 17개 시도 간담회에서 대한민국 성장 잠재력 제고를 위한 15개 과제를 제안했다.

경기도는 간담회에서 국가균형성장을 위한 전략과제로 △지방소멸대응기금 추가 재원마련 동참 △대한민국 성장 잠재력 제고를 위한 평화특구 내 기후테크 클러스터 조성 등 5건과 △K-반도체 메가 클러스터 구축 △AI․바이오․벤처 스타트업 클러스터 조정 지원 △철도 지하화 및 국가철도망 신규사업 규모 확대 건의 등 10건의 ‘지역공역 사업과제를 발표했다.

지난 7일부터 개최된 이번 간담회는 권역별 세션으로 나눠 수도권 집중해소와 지방주도 정책 전환을 위한 중앙-지방 간 소통 창구로 진행됐다.

고영인 경제부지사는 이날 수도권에서 추진하는 다양한 개발사업을 통한 이익 중 일부를 지방소멸대응기금 재원으로 활용하는 지방소멸대응기금 추가 재원마련 동참을 통해 수도권과 비수도권이 모두 윈윈할 수 있는 전략방안을 제안했다.

고영인 부지사는 “국가안보 등을 위해 특별한 희생을 감내해 온 수도권 내 접경지역의 기회발전특구 지정 등 수도권이라는 이유로 규제와 불균형을 동시에 감내해 온 경기북부의 균형발전은 수도권 일극체제를 넘는 대한민국 균형성장의 출발점이 될 것”이라며, “오늘 제안드린 과제들이 단순한 지역 건의가 아니라 정부의 국정과제의 실행력을 높이고 모두가 잘사는 지속가능한 대한민국으로 나아가는 실천적 계가 되기를 기대한다”고 말했다.
