경기도가 지난 7월 10일과 11일에 여주 남한강썬밸리호텔에서 개최한 ‘2025년 경기도 지능형교통체계(ITS) 우수사례 발표대회’에서 안양시가 ‘자율주행차 안전운행 지원을 위한 ITS 통합 구축 운영’ 사례로 최우수상, 의왕시 ‘실시간 신호 개발 시스템 구축’이 우수상, 과천시 ‘이동식감속유도 보조장치’가 장려상을 각각 수상했다.

이번 발표대회는 경기도 및 시군 지능형교통체계(Intelligent Transport Systems) 담당자 60여 명이 참석했다. 지능형교통체계는 통신 기술 등을 활용해 자동차와 자동차, 자동차와 기반 시설이 정보를 주고받으며 위험요소, 돌발 상황 등을 사전에 감지·연결하는 체계다.

우수사례 선정 결과, 안양시의 ‘자율주행차 안전운행 지원을 위한 ITS 통합구축 운영’ 사례가 최우수상을 받았다. 운영주체의 한계를 벗어나 상호협력 공동발전의 내용에서 좋은 평가를 받았다.

안양시가 구축한 AI 스마트 교차로는 신호위반 차량뿐만 아니라 중앙선 침범, 정지선 위반 차량과 무단횡단 보행자까지도 잡아내는 모습을 보였다. 정체가 유난히 심할 때는 적절하게 신호를 제어해 통행을 원활하게 하는 방식으로 작동한다. AI 스마트 교차로는 범죄 예방과 소탕에도 기여하고 있었다.

긴급차량 우선신호 기능도 환자를 살릴 골든타임 확보에 중요한 역할을 한다. 안양시 스마트도시통합센터는 일반적인 신호 체계를 유지하다가, 긴급차량이 이동경로를 설정하는 즉시 긴급차량에 우선신호를 배정하는 방식으로 환자 생명을 위한 골든타임을 확보하고 있다.

안양시는 스쿨존 내 골목길이나 사거리 등 달리는 차가 시야에 잘 보이지 않는 곳을 중심으로 지능형 CCTV로 구성된 AI 스마트 스쿨존을 설치했다. AI 스마트 스쿨존은 보행자와 차량의 충돌 위험이 있을 때 자동으로 인식해 전광판에 위험을 표출하는 방식으로 작동한다.

안양시는 ITS 운영 과정에서 확보한 방대한 데이터를 기반으로 원활한 교통 흐름과 시민 안전 확보뿐만 아니라 자율주행 차량이 도시를 다닐 수 있는 기반을 마련했다.

이어 의왕시 ‘실시간 신호 개발 시스템 구축’과 수원시 ‘빅데이터 분석을 활용한 경기도 똑버스 표준분석모델 도출’이 우수상, 과천시 ‘이동식감속유도 보조장치’, 동두천시 ‘교통 빅데이터 분석을 통한 보호구역 개선’이 장려상을 받았다.

경기도는 이번 발표대회를 통해 공유된 우수사례들을 도내 전역으로 확산해 지능형교통체계의 고도화를 이끌 방침이다. 시군과의 지속적인 협력 체계도 구축해 교통 빅데이터 공동 활용 방안을 모색하고, 새로운 지능형교통체계 사업 발굴을 위해 노력할 예정이다.

유병석 경기도 교통정보과장은 “이번 ITS 우수사례 발표대회는 경기도와 시군이 함께 미래 교통 시스템을 구상하는 뜻깊은 자리였다”며 “앞으로도 지능형교통체계 기술 발전을 통해 도민들에게 더욱 편리하고 안전한 교통 환경을 제공하도록 최선을 다할 것이다”라고 말했다.

At the ‘2025 Gyeonggi-do Intelligent Transport System (ITS) Best Practice Presentation Contest’ held by Gyeonggi-do at the Namhangang Sun Valley Hotel in Yeoju on July 10 and 11, Anyang City won the Grand Prize for its ‘ITS Integrated Construction and Operation for Supporting Safe Driving of Autonomous Vehicles’ case, Uiwang City won the Excellence Award for its ‘Real-time Signal Development System Construction’, and Gwacheon City won the Encouragement Award for its ‘Mobile Deceleration Assistance Device’.

This presentation was attended by approximately 60 people in charge of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) from Gyeonggi-do and cities and counties. An intelligent transport system is a system that uses communication technologies to detect and connect risks and unexpected situations in advance by exchanging information between cars, cars, and infrastructure. Gyeonggi Province plans to spread the best practices shared through this presentation throughout the province and lead the advancement of the intelligent transportation system. It also plans to establish a continuous cooperation system with cities and counties to seek ways to jointly utilize traffic big data and work to discover new intelligent transportation system projects.
