경기도가 지난 7월 7일 경기도청에서 ‘AI 업무자동화(RPA, Robotic Process Automation) 시스템 확대 구축사업’ 중간보고회를 열고, 언론·감사·법무·의회행정 등 7개 분야 과제에 시범 적용 중인 RPA 시스템의 운영 현황과 추진 성과를 점검했다.

경기도는 올해 1월부터 자체 수요조사와 과제 발굴을 통해 총 12개 부서 16개 과제를 조사한 뒤 내부 검토와 외부 컨설팅을 거쳐 최종 7개 과제를 선정했다.

주요 과제로는 △인터넷 기사 수집 및 공유를 자동 처리하는 언론보도 모니터링 시스템 △보도자료 파일 자동 통합 및 뉴스포털 게시 △전자세금계산서 진위 여부를 자동 판별하는 감사업무 보조 도구 △의안 접수와 관리 기록부 작성을 자동화한 의회행정 지원 시스템 등이 포함됐다.

RPA 기술은 특히 정확성과 일관성을 요구하는 문서 작업에서 효율성을 극대화할 수 있다는 점에서 향후 경기도 전 부서로의 확대 도입 가능성도 커지고 있다.

김기병 경기도 AI국장은 “공공행정 분야에서 AI를 활용한 업무자동화는 AI로 인한 일하는 방식의 변화를 미리 체험해 볼 수 있는 좋은 기회”라며, “반복 행정업무를 자동화하고 행정자원의 낭비를 최소화해 도민 중심의 고효율 행정을 실행할 수 있는 AI기반을 강화하겠다”고 말했다.

경기도는 올해 말까지 사용자 의견을 반영한 시스템 개선을 완료하고, 본격적인 실무 적용에 나설 계획이다.

On July 7, Gyeonggi Province held an interim report meeting for the ‘AI Work Automation (RPA, Robotic Process Automation) System Expansion Construction Project’ at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office and reviewed the operational status and progress of the RPA system being piloted in 7 fields including media, audit, legal affairs, and parliamentary administration.

Since January of this year, Gyeonggi Province has investigated a total of 16 tasks in 12 departments through its own demand survey and task discovery, and finally selected 7 tasks after internal review and external consulting.

Gyeonggi Province AI Director Kim Ki-byeong said, “Work automation using AI in the public administration sector is a good opportunity to experience the changes in working methods due to AI in advance,” and added, “We will strengthen the AI foundation that can automate repetitive administrative work, minimize waste of administrative resources, and implement highly efficient administration centered on residents.”

Gyeonggi Province plans to complete system improvements that reflect user opinions by the end of this year and begin full-scale practical application.
