현대로템(대표이사 이용배)이 지난 7월 9일 의왕시(시장 김성제)에 지역사회 취약계층을 위한 후원금 4,000만 원을 전달했다.

이번 후원금은 △의료비 지원 2,700만 원 △김장 나눔행사 1,300만 원 등으로 지정 기부됐다.

의료비 지원금은 1인당 최대 300만 원 한도로 긴급하게 치료가 필요한 저소득층 가구를 대상으로 지원되며, 김장 나눔행사 지원비는 취약계층의 건강한 식생활 돕기를 위한 지역 복지사업에 활용될 예정이다.

이날 전달식에는 김성제 의왕시장을 비롯해 현대로템 이용배 대표이사, 김익수 전무, 김영일 상무, 강영진 경기사회복지공동모금회 모금사업부장 등이 참석했다.

이용배 현대로템 대표이사는 “기업의 성장만큼 지역사회와의 상생 또한 중요한 가치”라며, “앞으로도 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 통해 따뜻한 공동체 형성에 기여하겠다”고 전했다.
