안양시가 한국매니페스토실천본부와 경북연구원이 지난 7월 24일 국립경국대학교 안동캠퍼스에서 개최한 제15회 2025 전국기초단체장 매니페스토 우수사례 경진대회에서 ‘안양춤축제’로 최우수상을 수상했다.

안양시는 공동체 강화 분야에서 ‘세대의 벽을 춤으로 허물다, 위기를 넘어 문화공동체로 성장한 안양춤축제’라는 주제로 우수사례를 발표해 최우수상을 수상했다.

매니페스토 우수사례 경진대회는 전국 지자체의 우수 공약에 대한 성과를 공유하는 자리.이번 제15회 2025 전국기초단체장 매니페스토 우수사례 경진대회는 ‘회복력 도시(Resilient Cities), 인간다운 도시(Humanitas Cities)’라는 주제로 1차 서류심사를 통해 7개 분야에 접수된 총 401개 공모 사례 중 본선에 오른 191개 사례가 경합을 벌였다.

안양춤축제는 2021년 코로나19로 지친 시민들을 위로하고 활력을 불어넣기 위한 ‘우선멈춤’ 온라인 프로젝트와 2022년 ‘우선멈춤’ 오프라인 안양시민축제를 거쳐 2023년 기존 안양시민축제를 안양춤축제로 특화하면서 안양시의 대표 축제뿐만 아니라 춤을 주제로 하는 대한민국 대표 축제로 자리잡았다. 특히 스트릿 배틀대회, 랜덤플레이 댄스, 거리공연(댄스버스킹) 등 ‘춤’이라는 매개를 통해 모든 연령이 참여하는 시민주도형 열린 축제 구조를 확립했다는 점에서 호평을 받고 있다.

안양춤축제는 ‘대한민국축제콘텐츠대상’에서 2021년부터 2025년까지 5년 연속 축제예술 부문 대상을 수상했다.

Anyang City won the grand prize for ‘Anyang Dance Festival’ at the 15th 2025 National Basic Local Government Heads’ Manifesto Best Practice Competition held by the Korea Manifesto Implementation Headquarters and Gyeongbuk Research Institute at the Andong Campus of Kyungkuk University on July 24.

Anyang City won the grand prize in the community strengthening category by presenting a best practice with the theme of ‘Breaking down generational barriers with dance, Anyang Dance Festival that overcame crisis and grew into a cultural community.’ The Manifesto Best Practice Competition is a place to share the achievements of excellent pledges of local governments across the country. The 15th 2025 National Basic Local Government Leaders’ Manifesto Best Practice Competition was held under the theme of ‘Resilient Cities, Humanitas Cities’. Among the 401 submissions received in 7 categories through the first round of document screening, 191 cases advanced to the final round. Anyang Dance Festival began as the ‘First Stop’ online project in 2021 to comfort and energize citizens exhausted by COVID-19, and the ‘First Stop’ offline Anyang Citizens’ Festival in 2022. In 2023, the Anyang Citizens’ Festival was specialized as the Anyang Dance Festival, establishing it as not only Anyang City’s representative festival but also Korea’s representative festival themed on dance. In particular, it is receiving favorable reviews for establishing a citizen-led open festival structure in which all ages can participate through the medium of ‘dance’ such as street battle competitions, random play dance, and street performances (dance busking).
