안양시가 지난 7월 24일 시청 상황실에서 ‘2025년 3분기 당정협의회’를 개최, 안양교도소 부지·서안양 친환경 융합 스마트밸리 조성사업·평촌 1기 신도시 정비사업 등 대통령의 지역 공약에 포함된 주요 핵심사업 완수를 위해 긴밀히 소통했다.

이번 협의회에는 최대호 안양시장, 이재정·강득구·민병덕 국회의원, 더불어민주당 소속 경기도의원, 안양시의원, 시 간부 공무원 등 총 30여명이 참석했다.

안양시는 △안양교도소 부지, 복합 문화 녹색도시 완성, △서안양 친환경 융합 스마트밸리 조성사업, △평촌 1기 신도시 정비사업, △서울서부선 안양권 연장 △위례 과천선 안양권 연장, △경부선철도 단계적 지하화 및 상부개발, △안양천 국가정원 조성사업 등 사업의 추진상황을 공유하고, 현안 과제 해결 방안을 깊이 있게 논의했다.

이재정 더불어민주당 안양시 당정협의회장은 “시정 운영에 있어 소통과 협의는 반드시 필요한 과정”이라며, “안양시가 추진 중인 핵심 사업들이 원활히 추진되어 지역 발전으로 이어질 수 있도록 당 차원에서도 세심하게 살피고 적극 뒷받침해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

최대호 안양시장은 “국민주권정부 출범 이후 첫 당정협의회를 통해 시정의 주요 현안을 함께 논의할 수 있어 뜻 깊다”며, “앞으로도 당과 정이 긴밀히 협력해 대통령 지역 공약 사업들이 속도감 있게 추진되도록 최선을 다하고 시민들이 직접 체감할 수 있는 성과 창출을 위해 모든 역량을 집중하겠다”고 말했다.
