경기도의회 기획재정위원회 이채명 의원(더불어민주당, 안양6)이 최근 열린 인구정책 관련 회의에서 경기도 인구정책의 생애주기 기반 설계와 기초지자체 간 연계성 부족 문제를 지적하며 보다 정밀하고 실효성 있는 정책 추진을 강력히 촉구했다.

이채명 의원은 “청년은 결코 단일한 집단이 아니며, 1인 가구, 고립·은둔형, 주거·취업 불안정 등 다양한 특성과 위기가 혼재돼 있다”며, “현재 경기도 인구정책 기본계획에는 청소년을 대상으로 한 정책이 단 2개에 불과하다. 청소년에서 청년으로의 전환이 정책 사각지대가 되지 않도록, 생애주기 기반 정책 설계가 절실하다”고 강조했다.

이 의원은 광역단위인 경기도와 시·군 단위의 정책 간 실질적 연계 부족 문제도 지적했다.

이채명 의원은 “경기도는 비교적 인구 여건이 양호한 편이지만, 그래서 더더욱 장기적 전략과 정밀한 맞춤형 대응이 중요하다”며, “도민 삶의 질에 실질적 영향을 주는 인구정책이 되도록 도와 도의회가 함께 고민해야 한다”고 강조했다.

Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly Planning and Finance Committee Assemblyman Lee Chae-myeong (Democratic Party of Korea, Anyang 6) pointed out the lack of connectivity between Gyeonggi Provincial Population Policy’s life cycle-based design and basic local governments at a recent population policy meeting, and strongly urged the promotion of more precise and effective policies.

Assemblyman Lee Chae-myeong said, “Young people are by no means a single group, and they have various characteristics and crises such as single-person households, isolation and reclusiveness, and housing and employment instability,” and emphasized, “Currently, Gyeonggi Provincial Population Policy Basic Plan has only two policies targeting youth. In order to prevent the transition from youth to young adults from being a blind spot in policy, life cycle-based policy design is urgently needed.”

Assemblyman Lee also pointed out the lack of practical connectivity between policies at the metropolitan level of Gyeonggi Province and city and county levels.

Rep. Lee Chae-myeong emphasized, “Gyeonggi Province has relatively good population conditions, but that is why long-term strategies and precise, customized responses are all the more important,” and “The provincial council should think together to help make the population policy have a real impact on the quality of life of the province’s residents.”
