안양시 공익활동지원센터가 지난 7월 29일 오후 안양동 1189-1 안양역 지하쇼핑몰(만안로 지하 231, G1) 2번·5번 출구 지하에서 개소식을 가졌다.

안양시 공익활동지원센터는 나 혼자만의 이익이 아닌 누구든 고르게 혜택을 받을 수 있는 활동을 자발적으로 펼치는 공익 활동을 지원하는 일을 과업으로 하여 △시민이 주체가 되는 공익활동이 더욱 활발해질 수 있도록 지원하는 중간조직이자 거점 공간으로 △시민공익활동 기반 조성, 공간대여, 휴게공간 제공, 비영리 활동 운영 지원, 공익활동가 양성 및 성장 지원, 지역 사회 네트워크 구축 등 다양한 사업 수행 계획 등을 수행하게 된다.

이날 최대호 안양시장, 강득구 국회의원, 민병덕 국회의원, 김성수 경기도의원, 김정중 시의원, 장명희 시의원 및 봉필규 안양1동 주민자치회장을 비롯한 수많은 관계자들이 참석하여 공익활동 지원센터의 출범을 축하했다.

대회의실에서 진행된 행사는 매우 넓은 공간임에도 불구하고 참석자들로 인하여 협소하게 느껴질 정도였다.

개소식은 개회사 및 축사, 케이크 커팅식, 테이프 커팅식 및 간판 제막식 순으로 진행됐다.

홀에서는 희망나무 만들기 행사도 열렸다.

신미경 안양1동장은 “공익활동 지원센터의 개소를 축하한다. 안양1동 주민자치회가 앞으로 발전할 수 있는 많은 도움을 받을 수 있을 것이라 생각한다. 안양1동 행정복지센터도 적극적으로 돕도록 하겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

봉필규 안양1동 주민자치회장은 “이번 공익활동 지원센터 개소는 안양1동 주민자치회가 진정한 주민자치회로 발돋움할 수 있는 좋은 기회라고 생각한다.”

안양시 공익활동지원센터는 평일 10시~21시, 토요일 10시~18시 운영하며 일요일과 공휴일, 첫째·셋째 화요일은 휴무다. 시민 누구나 무료로 시 홈페이지(대관예약시스템)를 통해 대·중·소회의실, 공유오피스를 대관할 수 있다.
