의왕시가 지난 11월 20일부터 22일까지 포일어울림센터 9층 대강당에서 의왕시육아종합지원센터 주관으로 ‘공간; 어린이 공간에 머물다’를 주제로 ‘제6회 레지오 기록작업 전시회’를 개최했다.

이번 전시회에서는 어린이의 놀이와 경험이 머무는 ‘공간’에 대한 기록을 중심으로, 아이들이 스스로 공간을 인식하고 새롭게 구성해 가는 과정을 다양한 시선으로 담았다.

또한, 레지오 접근을 실천하는 어린이집에서 그간 진행해 온 어린이와 교사 그리고 공간이 함께 만들어가는 배움의 여정을 소개했다.

의왕시는 레지오 교육을 2012년 전국 지자체 최초로 도입해 핵심 보육 정책으로 추진, 체험장 2곳(△포일동 레지오 플레이랩, △오전동 아이사랑놀이터)을 운영하며, 관내 어린이집의 레지오 교육 참여를 지속적으로 확대해 나가고 있다.

20일 열린 전시회 개회식에는 김성제 의왕시장을 비롯해 시의회 의원, 유아교육 및 보육 관계자 등 100여 명이 참석했다.

이은희 의왕시육아종합지원센터장은 “이번 전시는 교사들이 아이의 눈으로 공간을 바라보고, 그 안에서 일어나는 이야기를 함께 나누는 시간”이라며, “어린이를 중심에 두는 교육이 지역사회 전반에 확산되는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 전했다.

Uiwang City held the '6th Reggio Emilia Documentation Exhibition' from November 20th to 22nd in the main auditorium on the 9th floor of the Poil Eoullim Center, hosted by the Uiwang City Childcare Support Center, under the theme of "Space: Staying in Children's Space."
