과천시가 보건복지부가 주관하는 ‘전국민 마음투자 지원사업’에서 2025년 우수 지자체로 선정돼, 지난해에 이어 2년 연속 우수 지자체로 평가받았다.

전국민 마음투자 지원사업은 지난해 7월부터 시행된 사업으로, 우울과 불안 등 정서적 어려움을 겪는 시민에게 바우처를 지원해 대화 기반의 전문 심리상담 서비스를 제공하는 것이다.

이번 평가는 전국민 마음투자 지원사업에 참여한 전국 229개 시군구를 대상으로 실시됐다.

주요 평가 항목은 인구 대비 서비스 신청률, 저소득층 참여율, 서비스 제공기관 등록 건수 등이다. 올해는 여기에 서비스 신청 증가율, 예산 집행률, 서비스 제공기관 현장조사 실시율 등 사업 확대와 관리 수준을 반영한 항목이 새롭게 포함되면서 사업 운영의 충실도와 지역 여건에 맞춘 서비스 연계 여부 등이 평가의 주요 기준으로 적용됐다.

시는 지난해 우수 지자체 선정 이후에도 더 많은 시민이 서비스를 이용할 수 있도록 생애초기 건강관리사업과 정신건강복지센터 간 연계 체계를 강화하고, 사업 운영을 위한 예산을 추가로 확보하는 등 정신건강 돌봄 기반을 꾸준히 보완해 왔다.

과천시보건소 관계자는 “2년 연속 우수 지자체 선정은 시민의 마음건강을 위한 사업 운영이 안정적으로 이뤄졌다는 점을 평가받은 결과”라며 “앞으로도 시민이 필요할 때 적절한 정신건강 서비스를 이용할 수 있도록 지원 체계를 점검해 나가겠다”라고 밝혔다.

한편 심리상담을 원하는 시민은 전문가의 의뢰서나 소견서 등 증빙서류를 갖추어 동 주민센터 방문 또는 복지로에서 온라인으로 신청하면 된다.

Gwacheon City has been selected as an Outstanding Local Government for 2025 in the "National Mental Investment Support Project," hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, marking the second consecutive year it has been recognized as an Outstanding Local Government.

The National Mental Investment Support Project, which began in July of last year, provides vouchers to citizens experiencing emotional difficulties such as depression and anxiety, providing them with conversation-based, professional psychological counseling services.

This evaluation was conducted on 229 cities, counties, and districts nationwide that participated in the National Mental Investment Support Project.

Key evaluation criteria included the service application rate relative to the population, the participation rate among low-income earners, and the number of registered service providers. This year, new criteria were added to reflect the expansion and management level of the project, such as the rate of increase in service applications, budget execution, and on-site inspections of service providers.
