군포시는 경기도로부터 특별조정교부금을 확보한 가운데 지난해에 이어 올해도 소규모 주민 생활 편익 증진 사업 추진에 주력한다고 밝혔다. 올해는 총 56억7000만원을 투입해 18개 사업을 추진한다. 지난해에는 76억6500만원을 투입해 19개 사업을 마무리했다.

추진되는 대표적 사업은 ▲안양천 환경정비(9억원) ▲6개 어린이공원 정비(6억5000만원) ▲시민체육광장 육상트랙 교체(5억원) ▲신도시 어린이공원 정비(4억원) ▲3개 고가교 보수( 4억원) ▲하수도 시설물 정비(3억7000만원) 등이다.

또 3억3000만원을 투입해 ▲산본동 1205번지 일원 노면 개량 사업을 추진한다. 주민들이 체감할 수 있는, 안전하고 쾌적한 도시환경 조성에 박차를 가한다는 방침이다.

지난해에는 군포 복합 문화센터 건립에 20억원을 투입한 가운데 ▲화산초교삼거리 대각선횡단보도 설치 ▲금정고가 하부도로 등 5개소 노면 개량 ▲생활안전용 CCTV 설치 ▲한얼 근린공원 보행 환경 개선 사업 등을 추진·마무리 했다.

하은호 시장은 "시민의 안전과 생활 편익 증진을 최우선에 두고 꼭 필요한 사업을 선제적으로 추진하며 재원 확보를 위해 올해도 국·도비 등 외부 재원 확보에 다양한 역량을 발휘하겠다"고 말했다.
