안양시(시장 최대호)는 지난 1월 13일 안양시 드림스타트센터(만안구 삼덕로 106)에서 드림스타트 사례관리 아동 213명의 양육자를 대상으로 사업설명회와 부모교육을 진행했다고 14일 밝혔다.

드림스타트는 저소득층 가정의 0~12세 아동과 가족을 대상으로 건강·복지·보육·교육·후원 연계 등 맞춤형 서비스를 제공해 아동의 건강한 성장과 발달을 지원하는 사업이다.

안양시는 올해 드림스타트 사업으로 2개 서비스 분야, 총 7개 프로그램을 운영한다. 필수서비스는 취약계층 아동의 기본적인 성장과 발달을 지원하는 프로그램으로 ▲부모교육(상·하반기 각 1회) ▲심리·정서 지원 ▲필수교육 등을 연중 추진한다.

맞춤형서비스는 아동의 연령과 가정 여건을 고려한 프로그램으로 ▲드림아카데미 ▲가족힐링 집단체험활동 ▲보건의료 프로그램 ▲해충방제서비스 등을 시기별로 운영할 계획이다.

이날 사업설명회에 이어 양육자를 대상으로 한 부모교육도 함께 진행됐다.

이선희 한국미디어리터러시교육협회 대표는 ‘인공지능(AI) 시대 자녀를 위한 미디어 리터러시’를 주제로 강연을 진행하며, 양육자가 일상에서 미디어를 올바르게 활용하고 자녀 교육에 적용할 수 있는 방법을 소개했다.

안양시는 이번 설명회를 시작으로 드림스타트 사업을 본격 추진할 예정이다. 오는 2월에는 취약계층 아동에 대한 조기 개입과 예방적 지원 강화를 위해 드림아카데미 내 영유아 대상 방문미술 교육 프로그램을 새롭게 운영한다는 계획이다.

Anyang City Holds Dream Start Project Briefing Session…Full-Scale Launch for 2026

Operating Seven Essential and Customized Service Programs

Anyang City (Mayor Choi Dae-ho) announced on the 14th that it held a briefing session and parent education for 213 caregivers of children under Dream Start case management at the Anyang City Dream Start Center (106 Samdeok-ro, Manan-gu) on January 13th.

Dream Start supports the healthy growth and development of children aged 0-12 from low-income families and their families by providing customized services such as health, welfare, childcare, education, and support.

This year, Anyang City will operate a total of seven programs across two service areas under the Dream Start project. Essential services support the basic growth and development of children from vulnerable families and include year-round parent education (once in each half of the year), psychological and emotional support, and essential education. Customized services are planned to be offered based on the child's age and family circumstances, including ▲Dream Academy ▲Family Healing Group Experience Activities ▲Healthcare Programs ▲Pest Control Services. These programs will be offered on a seasonal basis.

Following the business briefing session, parent education was also held for caregivers.

Lee Seon-hee, President of the Korea Media Literacy Education Association, gave a lecture on "Media Literacy for Children in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI)," introducing ways for caregivers to effectively utilize media in their daily lives and apply it to their children's education.

Starting with this briefing session, Anyang City plans to launch the Dream Start project in earnest. In February, the city plans to launch a new visiting art education program for infants and toddlers within the Dream Academy to strengthen early intervention and preventative support for underprivileged children.
