과천시는 21일 오전 시청 제1회의실에서 ‘2026년 과천시 지역사회보장협의체 제1차 대표협의체 회의’를 열고, 제11기 대표협의체의 공식 출범을 알렸다.

이번 회의에는 새롭게 구성된 제11기 대표협의체 위원 30여 명이 참석해 위촉장을 받았다. 위원장으로는 과천시장애인복지관 이학준 관장이, 부위원장으로는 과천시가족센터 창기정 센터장이 선출됐다. 아울러 지난 한 해 동안 지역사회보장협의체가 추진해 온 주요 활동과 성과를 함께 돌아보는 시간도 가졌다.

회의에서는 제11기 협의체의 역할과 운영 방향을 공유하고, 복지 대상자 발굴과 복지 사각지대 해소, 시민 체감도가 높은 복지 서비스 제공을 위해 민관 협력을 어떻게 강화할 것인지에 대해 의견을 나눴다. 특히 현장에서 효과를 거둔 사례들을 공유하며 앞으로의 개선 방향에 대한 공감대를 형성했다.

이와 함께 제11기 실무협의체와 노인, 장애인, 아동·청소년·청년, 보육·여성·가족, 보건의료, 교육문화, 돌봄통합, 기획총괄 등 8개 실무분과의 구성 현황과 운영 계획도 보고됐다. 과천시는 이를 통해 지역 내 복지 자원 간 연계를 강화하고, 보다 체계적인 지역사회보장 추진 기반을 마련해 나갈 계획이다.

신계용 과천시장은 “제11기 지역사회보장협의체는 지난 성과를 바탕으로 한 단계 더 발전하는 출발점”이라며 “민관이 함께 머리를 맞대 시민의 삶에 실제 도움이 되는 복지 체계를 만들어 가는 것이 큰 의미가 있다”라고 말했다.

과천시는 앞으로도 지역사회보장협의체를 중심으로 지역 여건에 맞는 복지 정책을 꾸준히 추진하며, 함께 돌보고 성장하는 지역 공동체 조성에 힘쓸 방침이다.

Gwacheon City Launches 11th Community Security Council, a "Strengthened Private-Private Partnership"

On the morning of the 21st, Gwacheon City held the "2026 Gwacheon City Community Security Council First Representative Council Meeting" in the first conference room of City Hall, officially launching the 11th representative council.

Approximately 30 members of the newly formed 11th representative council attended the meeting and received their certificates of appointment. Participants shared effective case studies and built a consensus on future directions for improvement. Additionally, the 11th Working Group and its eight working-level divisions—Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities, Children, Youth, and Young Adults, Childcare, Women, and Families, Health and Medical Care, Education and Culture, Integrated Care, and Planning and Management—were also reported on their current status and operational plans. Gwacheon City plans to use this to strengthen the connection between local welfare resources and establish a more systematic foundation for community security.
