경기 안양시는 지속 가능한 식물자원 보호와 쾌적한 탐방 환경 조성을 위해 관내 '서울대 안양수목원' 운영 방식을 오는 3월부터는 전면 개방에서 사전 예약제로 변경·운영한다고 22일 밝혔다.

예약은 서울대학교 농업생명과학대학 수목원 홈페이지에서 일자를 선택해 신청하면 된다. 나타나는 큐알(QR) 코드를 저장한 뒤 수목원 정문 또는 후문에서 이를 인식하고 입장하면 된다.

예약은 탐방일 기준 30일 전부터 전날 자정까지 가능하며, 당일에는 예약이 불가하다. 하루 입장 가능 인원은 평일 1500명, 주말과 공휴일 4000명으로 제한한다. 개인 예약은 본인 포함 최대 4명까지 신청할 수 있다.

10인 이상 단체 방문의 경우 수목원 연구·교육 목적의 관계 기관만 e-메일을 통해 별도 신청 절차를 거쳐 방문할 수 있다. 현재는 시범 운영 중으로 다음 달 28일까지는 예약을 통한 큐알(QR) 코드 입장과 현장 입장을 병행해 운영한다. 앞서 '서울대 관악 수목원'은 지난해 11월 명칭 변경과 함께 해당 수목원을 전면 개방했다.

시 관계자는 "시민 불편은 최소화하는 가운데 자연 훼손을 줄이고 수목원의 공공성과 보전 가치를 더 높여 나가겠다"고 말했다.

Seoul National University Anyang Arboretum to Operate by Reservation Starting in March

Gyeonggi Province's Anyang City announced on the 22nd that, to protect sustainable plant resources and create a pleasant visiting environment, the Seoul National University Anyang Arboretum will be operating on a reservation basis starting in March, instead of being fully open to the public.

Reservations can be made by selecting a date on the Seoul National University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Arboretum website. Save the QR code that appears and scan it at the arboretum's main or back gate for entry.

Reservations can be made from 30 days prior to the visit date until midnight the day before. Same-day reservations are not accepted. Daily admission is limited to 1,500 visitors on weekdays and 4,000 on weekends and holidays. Individual reservations are limited to a maximum of four people, including the individual.

For groups of 10 or more, only organizations involved in research or education at the arboretum must submit a separate application via email. Currently in pilot operation, the arboretum will operate with both reservations and on-site admission until the 28th of next month. A city official stated, "We will minimize inconvenience to citizens, reduce damage to nature, and further enhance the arboretum's public nature and conservation value."
