(재)안양문화예술재단(이사장 최대호)은 안양박물관이 2025년 박물관·미술관 활성화 유공 분야 ‘단체’ 부문에서 경기도지사 표창을 수상했다고 29일 밝혔다. 표창 수여식은 경기도박물관협회 주최로 지난 27일 열렸다.

이번 표창은 ‘경기도 포상 조례’에 따라 도내 박물관·미술관 활성화에 기여한 기관과 단체를 대상으로 수여되는 상이다. 안양박물관은 지역 문화자원의 체계적인 보존과 수집은 물론 연구, 전시, 교육 분야에서의 지속적인 성과를 인정받아 수상 기관으로 선정됐다.

안양박물관은 2004년 개관 이후 공립박물관으로서 지역의 역사와 문화를 기반으로 한 상설·기획전시, 학술연구, 시민 참여형 교육 프로그램을 꾸준히 운영하며 지역 문화 거점 역할을 수행해 왔다. 특히 지역사 연구 성과를 전시와 교육으로 연계해 시민들이 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 문화서비스를 제공해 온 점이 높이 평가됐다.

안양박물관은 안양의 역사와 문화를 보존·연구·활용하는 지역 대표 공립박물관으로, 2006년 2종 역사관으로 최초 등록된 이후 2019년 1종 전문박물관으로 승격됐다. 현재 상설전시를 통해 안양의 지역사를 체계적으로 소개하는 한편, 다양한 학술 연구와 교육 사업을 지속적으로 추진하고 있다.

한편 안양박물관에서는 현재 특별기획전 <삼성기유첩: 그림으로 걷는 안양>을 개최하고 있다. 이번 전시는 안양박물관 대표 소장품인 ‘삼성기유첩’ 원본을 공개하는 전시로, 2026년 3월 31일까지 진행된다.

The Anyang Culture and Arts Foundation (Chairman Choi Dae-ho) announced on the 29th that Anyang Museum received the Gyeonggi Province Governor's Award in the "Group" category for Contribution to Museum and Art Gallery Revitalization in 2025. The award ceremony, hosted by the Gyeonggi Provincial Museum Association, took place on the 27th.
