군포시의회 박상현 의원(국민의힘, 군포라)이 AI 기술 확산 시대를 맞아 청년의 현실적 요구를 정책으로 연결하기 위한 논의를 주도하며 주목받고 있다.

박상현 의원은 지난 1월 30일 군포시의회 2층 문화강좌실에서 ‘군포시 청년에게 묻는 AI 조례 제·개정 간담회’를 주관했다. 이번 간담회는 AI 정책의 주요 수요자인 청년들의 경험과 인식을 직접 청취하고, 이를 향후 조례와 정책에 반영하기 위해 마련됐다.

박상현 의원은 “이번 간담회는 결론을 미리 정해놓고 이를 설명하는 자리가 아니라, 청년들과 함께 질문을 던지며 AI 시대에 필요한 정책의 방향을 모색하는 과정이었다”고 밝혔다. 이어 “현장에서 제시된 다양한 의견과 문제의식은 향후 군포시 AI 관련 조례의 제정·개정은 물론, 실질적인 정책 개발 과정에서 중요한 참고 자료로 적극 반영할 계획”이라고 말했다.

마지막으로 박 의원은 “공공 영역에서 AI는 기술 그 자체보다 시민과 공무원, 지방의회 의원 등 실제 사용하는 주체의 부담을 줄이고 업무 효율을 높이는 방향으로 설계돼야 한다”며 “행정 현장에서 반복되는 업무와 정보 접근에 드는 비용을 AI를 통해 낮추는 것이 지방정부 AI 정책의 핵심”이라고 강조했다. 특히 시민에게는 행정 접근성을 높이고, 공무원에게는 행정 처리 효율을, 지방의회에는 정책 분석과 의사결정의 질을 높이는 사용자 중심 AI 설계의 필요성을 제시했다.
