안양시가 행정안전부가 주관한 ‘2025년 자연재해 안전도 진단’에서 최고 등급인 A등급을 획득하며 전국 상위 15% 이내 우수 지자체로 선정됐다.

‘자연재해 안전도 진단’은 행정안전부가 매년 전국 228개 시·군·구를 대상으로 재난관리 역량을 종합 평가하는 제도다. ▲재해 위험요인 ▲재난관리 ▲시설관리 추진실적 등 3개 분야 33개 지표를 평가해 A~E까지 5단계 등급을 부여한다. 이 가운데 A등급은 최상위 등급으로, 전국 상위 15% 기관에만 주어진다.

이와 함께 여름철 풍수해에 대비해 급경사지와 산사태 취약지역을 집중 점검하고, 소규모 공공시설 안전관리도 강화하는 등 사전 예방 중심의 재난관리 체계를 운영해 왔다.

시 관계자는 “이번 A등급은 시민 안전을 최우선 가치로 두고 예방과 대응 역량을 지속적으로 강화해 온 결과”라며 “앞으로도 재난을 선제적으로 관리하는 ‘스마트 안전 도시’ 안양을 만들어 가겠다”고 밝혔다.
