경기도의회 김철현 의원(국민의힘, 안양)이 저서 「안양애(愛) 희망꽃을 피웁니다」의 출판기념회를 열고 시민들과 소통하는 시간을 가졌다.

지난 2월 27일 오후 5시, 안양아트센터 컨벤션홀에서 개최된 이번 행사에는 지역 주민과 정·재계 인사 등 약 150여 명의 내빈이 참석해 성황을 이뤘다.

안양의 길을 가다: 실향민의 아들에서 정책 전문가로

이번 저서에는 안양에서 태어나 평생을 안양과 함께해온 김 의원의 인생 여정이 고스란히 담겼다. 실향민 부모님 아래 안양에서 출생한 그는 사실상 ‘안양 토박이’로서 지역에 대한 깊은 애착을 드러냈다.

특히 김 의원은 안양 시정사의 산증인이기도 하다. 초대 민선 안양시장인 이석용 시장 캠프에서 선거 기획 업무를 맡으며 공직 사회에 발을 들인 이후, 신중대·이필운 전 시장의 정무비서로 활동하며 총 12년간 시장 비서직을 수행했다. 이러한 경력은 그를 안양시 현안에 가장 정통한 '실무형 정치인'으로 거듭나게 한 밑거름이 되었다.

Following Anyang's Path: From Son of a Displaced Person to Policy Expert

This book fully captures the life journey of Representative Kim, who was born in Anyang and has spent his entire life there. Born in Anyang to displaced parents, he is a true "Anyang native," expressing a deep attachment to the region.

Councilman Kim, in particular, is a living witness to Anyang's city administration. He began his career in public service, working on election planning for the campaign of Lee Seok-yong, the first elected mayor of Anyang. He then served as a political secretary to former mayors Shin Jung-dae and Lee Pil-woon, serving as mayor's secretary for a total of 12 years. This experience has laid the foundation for his transformation into a "practical politician" with unparalleled expertise in Anyang's current affairs.

He expressed his aspirations, saying, "As a provincial assembly member, I will faithfully fulfill my role as a bridge between Gyeonggi Province and Anyang, and let the flowers of hope bloom in Anyang."
