추미애 경기도지사가 취임 첫 결재로 ‘반도체 초격차를 위한 K-반도체 혁신 대책’을 승인하며 민선9기 핵심 공약인 반도체 산업 육성에 본격 착수했다.

추 지사는 1일 취임 직후 결재를 마친 뒤 “강한 성장, 반도체로 경제 1번지를 구현하겠다”며 “정부의 반도체 전략과 연계해 신속한 클러스터 조성과 기업 투자 지원 체계를 구축하겠다”고 밝혔다.

이번 대책은 오는 8월 시행 예정인 반도체 특별법에 선제적으로 대응하고, 삼성전자와 SK하이닉스 등 대규모 투자 계획이 차질 없이 추진될 수 있도록 행정 지원과 민관 협력 체계를 강화하는 데 초점을 맞췄다.

경기도는 이를 위해 ▲세계 최대 K-반도체 생태계 조기 완성 ▲팹(Fab) 건설 기간 단축과 생산능력 5년 내 2배 확대 ▲팹리스 육성과 정주여건 개선 등 미래 성장 기반 구축을 3대 추진전략으로 제시했다.

수원, 용인, 화성, 성남, 안성, 평택, 오산, 이천을 연결하는 반도체 산업벨트를 구축하고, 기업 투자 일정에 맞춰 전력·용수·도로 등 핵심 기반시설을 적기에 지원해 반도체 생산 경쟁력을 높인다는 계획이다.

Governor Choo decided to establish a Semiconductor Strategy Committee directly under the Governor to strengthen cooperation with the central government, and to push for the formation of a "K-Semiconductor Cluster Completion Council" involving the National Assembly, local governments, and companies.
