경기도군포의왕교육지원청이 인공지능(AI) CCTV를 활용한 지능형 무인관리 시스템을 도입해 학교시설 주말 개방 확대에 나선다.

교육지원청은 지난 2일 청사에서 지역 생활체육단체를 대상으로 ‘학교시설 주말개방 활성화 시범사업’ 설명회와 시설 이용 단체 추첨을 진행했다고 밝혔다. 이날 행사에는 관내 6개 생활체육단체가 참석해 높은 관심을 보였다.

이번 시범사업은 당직 인력 부족과 보안 문제로 학교시설 개방에 어려움을 겪어온 학교 현장의 부담을 덜기 위해 마련됐다. 시범학교로 선정된 곡란초, 둔대초, 갈뫼중, 백운중 등 4개 학교는 오는 8월부터 내년 2월까지 주말 체육관을 지역 주민에게 개방한다.

학교에는 침입과 배회, 화재 등 이상 상황을 실시간으로 감지하는 지능형 AI CCTV가 설치된다. 주말 개방 시간에는 교육지원청이 시설 관리와 모니터링을 지원하고, 사고 발생 시에는 관계기관과 즉시 연계해 대응하는 체계를 구축한다.

교육지원청은 이번 시스템 도입으로 학교의 관리 부담을 줄이는 동시에 지역주민의 체육시설 이용 기회를 확대하는 상생 모델이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

시설 이용권을 확보한 한 생활체육단체 관계자는 “주말에는 운동 공간을 찾기 어려웠는데 교육지원청의 관리 지원 덕분에 학교시설을 이용할 수 있게 돼 반갑다”고 말했다.
