안양시는 박달스마트시티 조성사업의 성공적인 추진을 위해 군사시설과 도시계획 분야 전문가 5명을 자문위원으로 위촉하고 사업 추진에 박차를 가한다.

시는 지난 24일 오후 시청 접견실에서 '박달스마트시티 지원위원회' 위촉장 수여식을 개최했다.

이번 위촉은 박달스마트시티 조성사업이 국방부 사업시행자 지정 이후 본격적인 추진 단계에 들어섬에 따라 군사시설과 도시계획 분야의 전문적인 의견을 사업 추진 과정에 반영하기 위해 마련됐다.

지원위원회는 군 관련 분야에서 오랜 경험과 전문성을 갖춘 전문가 2명과 도시계획 분야 교수 3명 등 위촉직 위원 5명, 당연직 위원인 시 관계 공무원 2명 등 모두 7명으로 구성됐다.

위원회는 앞으로 사업 추진 과정에서 군 관련 사안과 도시계획 분야에 대한 자문을 비롯해 관계기관 협의와 사업 추진 방향 설정에 필요한 다양한 의견을 제시할 예정이다.

박달스마트시티 조성사업은 안양시가 만안구 박달동 일대 군부대 탄약시설을 지하화해 국방부에 기부하고, 종전 부지를 양여받아 4차 산업혁명 중심의 첨단산업·문화·주거 기능을 갖춘 스마트 융복합단지를 조성하는 사업이다.

특히 군사시설과 개발제한구역 등 복합적인 여건을 종합적으로 고려해야 하는 사업인 만큼, 안양시는 지원위원회의 전문적인 경험과 식견이 사업의 안정적 추진에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

시는 현재 지난 4월 착수한 대체시설 기본 및 실시설계를 진행하고 있으며, 올해 하반기에는 개발제한구역 해제와 관련해 관계기관과 협의를 진행할 계획이다.
