안양시가 인공지능(AI)을 비롯한 미래기술을 시민들이 직접 체험할 수 있는 축제의 장을 마련한다.

안양시(시장 최대호)가 오는 29일부터 30일까지 이틀간 안양종합운동장 체육관 일대에서 ‘제23회 안양스마티(T)움축제’를 개최한다고 지난 12일 밝혔다.

‘상상이 일상으로! 내 삶을 바꾸는 안양스마티(T)움!’을 슬로건으로 내건 올해 축제는 AI를 핵심 주제로 로봇·드론·모빌리티·피지컬 AI 등 빠르게 발전하는 미래기술을 시민들이 직접 경험할 수 있도록 꾸며진다.

2002년 ‘안양사이버축제’로 시작한 안양스마티(T)움축제는 2024년 현재의 명칭으로 새롭게 출발했으며, 올해로 23회째를 맞았다.

축제의 핵심 공간인 ‘AI 테마존’에서는 로봇과 드론, 모빌리티, 피지컬 AI 등 다양한 미래기술을 체험할 수 있다. ‘군(軍)에 입소한 AI’를 주제로 한 특별관에서는 군용 드론과 첨단 장비를 살펴보고 사격 체험에도 참여할 수 있다.

미래 과학 인재들의 실력을 겨루는 경진대회도 열린다. 로봇, AI 코딩, 드론 등 3개 분야 7개 종목에서 참가자들이 경쟁하며, 휴머노이드 격투·분리수거로봇·배틀로봇축구·라인트레이서와 코딩레이싱·객체인식, 드론축구 등이 진행된다. 과학기술정보통신부 장관상을 비롯해 총 85건의 시상이 이뤄질 예정이다.

이밖에 개회식 레이저 공연과 AI 관련 강연을 비롯해 관내 16개 중·고교 과학동아리가 운영하는 체험부스, 자율주행차 전시·탑승 체험, 이동형 천체관측버스, 방탈출과학버스 등 다양한 프로그램이 마련된다. 퀴즈대회와 경품 추첨 등 시민들이 참여할 수 있는 부대행사도 진행된다.
