Anyang Labor Human Rights Center (Chairman Choi Dae-ho), which will represent the voices of poor field workers, has opened. Anyang City held the opening ceremony of the Labor Human Rights Center (197, Simin-daero, Dongan-gu) on the afternoon of August 10 at the center education center, signaling the beginning of the protection and improvement of labor human rights.

Anyang City announced that it would establish and operate a non-profit corporation, not directly or entrusted, for the democratic and autonomous operation of the Labor Human Rights Center for the first time in the country.

The Labor Human Rights Center plans to provide legal advice and relief activities, discover policies for workers in blind spots, and establish a win-win culture between labor and management to realize the dignity and value of workers in Anyang City and ensure a happy life.

Son Young-tae, the first head of the center, said, "I will take the lead in protecting the human rights of workers in blind spots such as irregular workers, platform workers, and mobile workers in Anyang City and improving the working environment."

Anyang City formed the Labor Human Rights Center TF team in July of last year and enacted the ‘Ordinance on the Protection and Promotion of Anyang City Labor Human Rights’ in September, and has focused on establishing a center with expertise and independence.

Meanwhile, the opening ceremony was held in the order of the center establishment progress and operation plan report, signboard ceremony, and facility tour, and many citizens shared the opening ceremony through a YouTube live broadcast in Anyang City.
