경기도의회(의장 염종현) 의정정책추진단(공동단장 정윤경·윤태길)이 지난 3월 25일 남양주시청에서 남양주시‧남양주지역 경기도의원과 ‘지역 현안 정책발굴 정담회’를 열고 남양주지역 28개 정책과제와 경기도의회 차원의 지원사항을 논의했다.
의정정책추진단은 정담회에서 과제별 추진현황을 점검하고, 정책 실행에 뒤따르는 애로사항과 경기도의회 차원의 지원책을 두고 남양주시의 의견을 수렴했다.
정담회 참석자들은 △안전하고 편리한 대중교통체계 구축 및 지원 확대 △방문간호, 요양돌봄 강화 및 의료서비스 확대 △문화재단 설립 △부평습지공원과 광릉내 연계를 통한 지역상권 활성화 추진 △복합문화아트센터 건립 △상급 종합병원 유치 등 지역 28개 정책과제 추진 등을 논의했다.
이날 김창식 의원(더불어민주당, 남양주5)은 “경기동북부내 양질의 의료서비스 제공과 권역 응급의료 및 지역 완결형 의료체계 구축을 위한 상급 종합병원 유치”를 제안했다.
조미자 의원(더불어민주당, 남양주3)은 “전통시장과 광릉숲 연결 상권 활성화, 부평습지공원과 광릉수목원, 광릉 등 역사·생태자원 등을 연계한 정주환경개선 및 지역상권 활성화로 침체된 전통시장 상권에 활력을 불어넣을 계기를 마련해 줄 것”을 제안했고, 이석균 의원(국민의힘, 남양주1)은 “수도권 동부 대표 복합문화예술회관 건립을 통해 지역 랜드마크로서의 기능 수행과 문화 수요 충족 및 예술인을 육성을 지원해야 한다”고 제안했다.
김동영 의원(더불어민주당, 남양주4)은 “원도심 문화 수요 충족을 위한 공연장, 전시시설, 문화편의시설 등 복합문화예술 기반시설을 갖춘 복합문화아트센터 건립 추진”을 제안했고, 유호준 의원(더불어민주당, 남양주6)은 ““돌봄이 필요한 취약노인가구의 욕구에 따라 맞춤형 방문간호, 돌봄서비스 제공 등의 의료서비스 확대와 안전 확인 등의 보호조치가 필요하다”고 제안했다. 김미리 의원(개혁신당, 남양주2)은 “지역주민들의 이동 편의를 증진하고 교통 불편을 해소하기 위해 전철역을 기점으로 하는 마을버스의 증설”을 제안했다.
정윤경·윤태길 의정정책추진단 공동단장은 “새로 발굴될 정책을 확실한 성과로 만들기 위해서는 도의회와 남양주시의 협치가 매우 중요하다”며, “도의회 차원에서도 남양주시의 현안사항을 해결하기 위해 필요한 지원을 아끼지 않고 적극적으로 협력하겠다”고 말했다.
이날 정담회에는 의정정책추진단 정윤경·윤태길 공동단장, 김미리, 김창식, 조미자, 이석균, 김동영, 유호준 남양주시지역 도의원을 비롯해 홍지선 남양주시 부시장, 기획조정실장, 재정경제국장, 복지국장, 문화교육국장, 교통국장, 미래도시추진단장, 상하수도관리센터소장 등 40여명의 관계자가 참석했다.
경기도의회 의정정책추진단은 오는 4월까지 31개 시·군을 순차적으로 찾아 지역현안 정책발굴 및 지역 정책과제 해결책 논의의 마무리 정리를 위해 박차를 가하고 있다.
