경기도의회 농정해양위원회(위원장 김성남)가 지난 5월 4일 반려마루 화성에서 열린 ‘2024 경기 PETSTA’와 ‘반려마루 화성 개관식’에 참석해 반려문화의 발전과 경기도 동물복지 향상을 위한 의지를 다졌다.

반려마루 화성은 경기도 내 유기동물보호센터에서 공고기간이 지난 개와 고양이를 기증받아 보호하면서 진료‧훈련 등을 거쳐 새로운 가족을 찾아주는 유기동물 입양시설로 강아지와 고양이 보호입양시설과 함께 교육문화센터, 다목적운동장과 산책로, 중소형견과 대형견놀이터가 마련돼 있어 반려가족을 위한 다양한 즐거움을 제공한다.

이 날 행사엔 김동연 경기도지사와 정명근 화성시장, 송옥주 국회의원 등과 경기도의회 농정해양위원회 방성환 부위원장, 박명원 의원이 참석했다.

이 날 행사는 가수 아웃사이더의 오프닝 공연을 시작으로, 개막영상 상영, 나의 반려일지, 경기도 반려동물의 날 선포 세리머니 순으로 진행됐다.
