안양시청소년재단(이사장 최대호) 산하 안양시학교밖청소년지원센터(센터장 민미연)가 지난 1월 10일 학교 밖 청소년 3명에게 각각 100만원씩 총 300만원의 장학금을 전달했다.

안양시학교밖청소년지원센터는 어려운 환경 속에서도 자신의 진로를 위해 성실히 활동한 학교 밖 청소년을 학업 장학생으로 선발해 장학증서와 함께 장학금을 전달했다.

장학금 수여 대상은 고졸 검정고시를 합격한 학교 밖 청소년 중 경제적 지원이 필요한 청소년을 안양시학교밖청소년지원센터장의 추천을 받아 최종 선발했다.

이번 장학금은 관내 소재 익명의 기업인으로부터 후원을 받아 마련됐다. 기부자는 복지 사각지대에 있는 학교 밖 청소년들이 건강한 사회구성원으로 성장할 수 있도록 지원해달라고 전했다.

민미연 센터장은 “꿈을 향해 나아가는 꿈드림 청소년들을 응원하며 앞으로도 위기 청소년들이 좌절하지 않고 꿈을 이루어 나갈 수 있도록 센터도 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Anyang City Out-of-School Youth Support Center ‘Dream Dream’ scholarships awarded to 3 youth

On January 10, the Anyang City Out-of-School Youth Support Center (Director Mi-yeon Min), under the Anyang City Youth Foundation (Chairman Choi Dae-ho), delivered scholarships of 1 million won each to three out-of-school youth, totaling 3 million won.

Anyang City Out-of-School Youth Support Center selected out-of-school youth who worked diligently for their careers despite difficult circumstances as academic scholarship recipients and presented them with scholarship certificates.

The recipients of the scholarship were selected among out-of-school youth who passed the high school qualification examination and were in need of financial support upon recommendation from the head of the Anyang City Out-of-School Youth Support Center.

This scholarship was prepared with support from an anonymous businessman in the area. The donor asked for support so that out-of-school youth in welfare blind spots can grow into healthy members of society.
