안양시 기후변화체험교육센터인 ‘안양그린마루’가 미래 세대인 초등학생들을 위해 놀이와 과학기술을 접목한 특별한 환경 수업을 선보인다.

14일 안양시에 따르면, 안양그린마루는 안양과천교육지원청과 협력하여 안양미리내공유학교의 생태·환경 프로그램인 ‘탄소중립 실천 공유학교’를 운영 중이다. 이번 프로그램은 기후변화의 원인과 대응 방안을 어린이의 눈높이에서 탐구하고 실천 의지를 키울 수 있도록 기획되었다.

교육은 지난 3월 21일 시작되어 5월 30일까지 총 12차시에 걸쳐 진행된다. 주요 대상인 초등학교 3~4학년 학생들은 단순한 이론 학습에서 벗어나 인공지능(AI) 등 최신 과학기술을 활용한 교구를 직접 다루며 기후 위기의 심각성을 체감하게 된다.

지난 첫 수업에서 학생들은 안양그린마루 기획전시실을 관람하며 에너지 전환의 개념을 익혔으며, 태양광 충전식 조명 키트를 직접 제작하는 실습을 통해 재생에너지의 원리를 배우는 시간을 가졌다. 이러한 체험 중심의 수업은 학생들의 환경 감수성을 높이고 문제 해결 능력을 키우는 데 큰 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

Anyang Green Maru, Anyang City’s Climate Change Experience Education Center, is introducing a special environmental class that combines play with science and technology for elementary school students, the future generation.

According to Anyang City on the 14th, Anyang Green Maru is operating the ‘Carbon Neutrality Practice Sharing School,’ an ecology and environment program of the Anyang Mirinae Sharing School, in cooperation with the Anyang-Gwacheon Office of Education. This program was designed to allow children to explore the causes of climate change and response measures from their own perspective and to foster a will to take action.

The education began on March 21 and will continue for a total of 12 sessions until May 30.
