지난 4월 10일 치러진 22대 총선에서 안양‧군포‧의왕과천 선거구는 21대 총선에 이어 더불어민주당이 석권했다.

중앙선관위 최종집계에 따르면 안양시만안구 선거구는 더불어민주당 강득구 후보가 7만8,924표를 획득, 5만9,884표를 획득한 국민의힘 최돈익 후보를 득표율 56.85%:43.14%로 여유 있게 따돌리고 승리, 재선 의원이 됐다.

안양시동안구갑 선거구는 더불어민주당 민병덕 후보가 5만6,891표를 획득, 4만2,335표를 획득한 국민의힘 임재훈 후보를 득표율 57.33%:42.66%로 여유 있게 제치고 승리, 재선에 성공했다.

안양시동안구을 선거구는 더불어민주당 이재정 후보가 5만2,248표를 획득, 4만4,751표를 획득한 국민의힘 심재철 후보를 득표율 53.86%:46.13%로 따돌리고 승리해 3선에 성공했다.

군포시 선거구는 더불어민주당 이학영 후보가 8만9,561표를 획득, 6만7,772표를 획득한 국민의힘 최진학 후보를 득표율 56.92%:43.07%로 여유 있게 제치고 승리해 4선 중진의원이 됐다.

의왕시과천시 선거구는 더불어민주당 이소영 후보가 과천시에서는 2만5,322표를 획득, 2만6,984표를 획득한 최기식 후보에 48.41%:51.58%로 다소 뒤졌으나 의왕시에서 이소영 후보 5만6,318표(57.56%), 최기식 후보 4만1,524표(42.43%)를 각각 획득, 이소영 후보가 총계 8만1,640표로 6만8,508표를 획득한 최기식 후보를 득표율 54.37%:45.62%로 비교적 여유 있게 따돌리고 재선에 성공했다.

전국에 몰아친 정권심판 바람이 안양‧군포‧의왕과천 선거구에도 그대로 몰아치면서 국민의힘 후보들이 크게 힘 한번 써보지 못하고 낙선의 고배를 마신 것으로 풀이할 수 있다.
