안양시 한중친선협회(회장 이학봉)가 지난 12월 19일 저녁 평촌에 있는 트리니티컨벤션에서 ‘2023 중국 유학생·다문화 가족 초청 교류회 및 송년회’를 개최했다.
이날 행사는 최대호 안양시장, 민병덕 국회의원, 김용곤 안양문화원장, 지영모 한중민간경제협력포럼 이사장 등 주요 내빈들과 회원·다문화가족 120여명이 참석해 중국 유학생들을 격려하고 중국 다문화가족을 위로하는 시간을 가졌다.

이날 행사는 장시백 안양시 한중친선협회 사무총장의 사회로 축하공연, 내빈소개 및 회장인사, 표창 및 내빈축사, 격려사, 만찬, 장학금 전달, 축가, 교류의 시간 등의 순서로 진행됐다.
이학봉 안양시 한중친선협회장은 인사말에서 “한국과 중국은 1992년 수교 이래 긴밀한 소통과 교류, 협력을 통해 상호 이해와 신뢰를 높여 왔고, 제반분야에서 양국관계의 비약적인 발전을 이루어 왔다”며, “21세기 새로운 디지털 경제 글로벌 시대를 맞이해 양국은 공동번영과 둥북아시아 평화를 위해 그동안의 교류와 성과를 기반으로 더 좋은 이웃, 더 좋은 친구, 더 좋은 동반자로서 성숙한 한중관계를 발전시켜 나가야 한다”고 밝혔다.
이 회장은 이어 “지금 한중 외교관계가 좀 원만하지 못하다 할지라도 양국 국민 간의 우정과 신뢰를 보다 더 두텁게 해 무한한 잠재력을 가진 한중관계가 더 큰 도약을 할 수 있도록 양국 국민들이 함께 노력해 나가자”고 말했다.

축사에서 최대호 안양시장은 “한중친선협회는 그동안 민간외교의 역할을 잘 해주었다”며, “지역사회 봉사만이 아니라 다양한 문화교류 활동, 장학사업 해주시는데 감사드린다. 한중친선협회가 날로 발전해 안양시를 넘어 대한민국, 세계와 함께 할 수 있는 단체가 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.”
지영모 한중민간경제협력포럼 이사장은 “올해가 한중수교 31주년”이라며, “한중 유학생들이 코로나 전에 10만 명 이상 교류했다. 한중친선협회와 협력해서 한중민간경제협력포럼이 주도해서 민간차원에서 한중관계를 발전시키는데 기여하도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

김용곤 안양문화원장은 “이번 교류회가 민간교류 활성화, 소통, 화합의 장으로서 문화교류와 지역 간 상호 작용을 촉진해 새로운 지평을 확장하는 계기가 되고 그러한 역할 해 줄 거라 믿는다”며, “안양문화원은 이런 자리가 더욱 뜻 깊고 특별하기 때문에 그 인연과 신뢰에 보답하기 위해 문화로 가슴 뛰는 안양이 되도록 노력하겠다“고 말했다.

부경대학교 복지행정학과 우총총, 국제통상물류학과 장멘장 학생에게는 각각 장학금 30만원이 수여됐다.

이날 축하공연으로 안양문화원 부원장을 맡고 있는 민향숙 안양답교놀이 대표가 김호석 향토문화연구소장의 향피리 반주에 맞춰 ‘은혜’라는 주제로 전통 춤사위를 선보였다. 김호석 소장은 향피리 단독공연으로 ‘칠갑산’을 연주했다.
유애리 한중친선협회 이사는 축가를 불러 송년회 분위기를 뜨겁게 달궜고, 안양시의 중국다문화자조모임 공연팀은 밸리댄스와 부채춤으로 좌중에게 즐거움을 선사했다.
