경기도의회 의정정책추진단이 지난 6월 5일 오산시청에서 ‘지역 현안 정책 정담회’를 열고 오산지역의 주요 정책 현안과 경기도의회 차원의 지원방안을 논의했다.

이날 정담회에는 의정정책추진단 공동단장인 이영봉 의원(더불어민주당, 의정부2), 오산시 지역구 의원인 김영희(더불어민주당, 오산1), 조용호 의원(더불어민주당, 오산2)을 비롯해 오산시 관계자 20여 명이 참석했다.

이날 정담회에서는 △오산 운암뜰 조기착공 및 트램연결, △독산성 보적사 진입로 도로 재포장, △오산 서부우회도로 방음터널 설치, △오산시내 CCTV 확대 설치 등 총 10건의 정책과제에 대해 오산시와 경기도의회 간 협력 방안이 집중 논의됐다.

김영희 의원은 “오산 서부 우회도로가 개통되면서 인접 주민들이 지속적인 교통소음으로 수면장애, 학습저해 등 생활불편을 겪고 있다”며, “도민들의 건강한 삶의 질 향상과 도시환경 조성을 위해 소음측정 등 오산 서부 우회도로 방음터널 설치가 꼭 필요하다”고 제안했다.

조용호 의원은 “보도유효폭 협소, 안전설비 미비 등의 문제로 보행자 사고가 많은 지역의 안전한 통행로를 확보하고 자연을 느끼며 이동할수 있는 친환경 구조물 도입이 필요하다”며, “오산천변 산책로를 이용하는 주민들의 보행 안전사고 예방 및 보행편의 제공과 도시환경 조성을 위해 오산동과 궐동 잇는 목교 신설”을 강조했다.

이영봉 의정정책추진단장은 “오산운암뜰 조기착공 및 트램연결과 오산 서부 우회도로 방음터널 설치 등 지역현안을 함께 논의하며, 함께하는 변화, 미래도시 오산을 만들어 나가기 위한 밑거름이 되기를 바라고, 도민의 삶을 실질적으로 변화시킬수 있는 정책으로 이어질수 있도록 도의회에서도 응원하겠다”고 말했다.

오산시 이권재 시장은 “오산시 주요 현안에 대한 도의회의 깊은 관심과 지원에 감사드린다”며, “서랑저수지 시민 힐링공간조성, 양산동·초평동 물놀이장 조성, 가로등 조도개선, 세교복지타운 수영장 지하누수방수공사 사업 추진을 위해 도차원의 예산 요청과 적극적인 관심을 바란다”고 말했다.

경기도의회 의정정책추진단은 현장 의견을 수렴하고 지역 현안을 정책화하기 위해 올해 9월까지 31개 시·군을 순회하며 정담회를 개최할 예정이다.
