더불어민주당이 제2차 임시 전국당원대회(이하 전당대회)를 하루 앞둔 가운데, 권역별 권리당원 투표율과 판세가 공개됐다. 당대표와 최고위원을 동시에 선출하는 이번 전당대회는 오는 8월 2일(토) 오후 경기도 고양시 킨텍스 제2전시장 10홀에서 개최된다.

당대표 선출을 앞두고 관심이 집중되는 가운데, 충청권(대전·세종·충남·충북)과 영남권(부산·울산·경남·대구·경북)에서 이미 순회투표가 종료됐으며, 호남권(광주·전남·전북)과 수도권(경기·인천), 서울·강원·제주 투표율이 최종 승부를 가를 핵심 변수로 떠올랐다.

이번 전당대회는 2026년 지방선거를 앞둔 첫 지도부 개편이라는 점에서도 주목된다.

민주당은 전당대회를 통해 새 지도체제를 정비하고, 민생 회복과 정치개혁을 위한 구체적 실천 전략을 마련할 방침이다. 황명선 전 논산시장은 유일한 최고위원 후보로 등록돼 사실상 추대 형식의 선출이 예상된다.
