안양·군포·의왕·과천 지역 기업인들의 모임인 ‘스마트비즈니스클럽 총동문회(회장 이재화)’가 지역 인재 육성을 위한 장학금을 전달하며 나눔 활동을 실천했다.

스마트비즈니스클럽 총동문회는 지난달 26일 군포지역 대학생 2명을 장학생으로 선발해 각 250만 원씩 총 500만 원의 장학금을 전달했다고 밝혔다.

이번 장학금은 경기 남부권에서 사업장을 운영하는 약 450여 명의 동문 회원들이 십시일반 뜻을 모아 마련한 것으로, 지역 기업인들이 지역 인재를 직접 지원한다는 점에서 의미를 더했다.

이재화 스마트비즈니스클럽 총동문회장은 “경제적으로 어려운 시기이지만 지역 인재들이 환경적인 제약 때문에 꿈을 포기하는 일이 없기를 바라는 마음으로 회원들과 뜻을 모았다”며 “장학금이 학생들에게 지역사회가 함께 응원하고 있다는 메시지가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

김문섭 스마트비즈니스교육원장은 “성장 가능성과 열정을 가진 학생들을 발굴하고 지원하는 일은 지역 기업인의 사회적 책임”이라며 “앞으로도 지역 인재들이 건강한 사회 구성원으로 성장할 수 있도록 지속적인 지원을 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편 스마트비즈니스클럽 총동문회는 안양·군포·의왕·과천 지역 개인사업자와 법인 대표들로 구성된 단체로, 회원 간 비즈니스 교류와 함께 지역사회 공헌 활동을 꾸준히 이어오고 있다.
