경기도의회 여성가족평생교육위원회 김재훈 의원(국민의힘, 안양4)이 지난 5일 경기도청 서희홀에서 열린 ‘위기청년 일경험 지원을 위한 업무협약식’에 참석해 고립·은둔 청년 등 위기청년의 사회 참여 확대와 자립 기반 마련을 위한 협약 체결을 축하했다.

이번 협약은 경기도와 경기도미래세대재단, 한국승강기안전공단이 참여해 고립·은둔 청년 등 위기청년을 대상으로 승강기기능사 자격 취득 교육과 일경험 프로그램을 연계 운영함으로써 취업 역량 강화를 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.

김재훈 의원은 “2024년 주민참여예산으로 시작된 고립·은둔 청년 지원 사업이 2025년 본 사업으로 확대되며 의미 있는 성과를 만들어가고 있다”며 “2026년에는 단순한 심리 상담을 넘어 양질의 일경험으로 이어지며 정책이 실질적인 변화로 이어지고 있다는 점에서 의미가 크다”고 말했다.

이어 “한국승강기안전공단과 같은 국가 공공기관이 협력해 기술 자격 취득과 교육 과정을 지원하는 것은 청년 역량 강화는 물론 공공기관이 함께하는 ESG 실현의 모범 사례”라고 강조했다.

또 “무엇보다 세상 밖으로 한 걸음 내딛어 준 고립·은둔 청년들의 용기가 오늘의 성과를 만들었다”며 “앞으로도 청년들이 일경험을 통해 자신을 발견하고 사회 속에서 성장할 수 있도록 정책적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편 김재훈 의원은 2024년부터 경기도의회 ‘고립·은둔 보듬 정책 연구회’ 회장으로 활동하며 고립·은둔 청년 지원 사업을 위한 예산 확대와 지원센터 설립 등 제도적 기반 마련에 힘쓰고 있다.
