“법을 배우며 시민의식을 키운다”는 취지로 운영되는 경기중부시민로스쿨이 새 학기 문을 열었다.

경기중부시민로스쿨은 지난 3월 23일 안양과천상공회의소 5층 강당에서 제9기 입학식을 개최하고 본격적인 교육 일정에 들어갔다.

이번 입학식은 지역 시민들에게 실질적인 법률 지식을 제공하고, 공정한 사회를 위한 법치주의 정신을 확산하기 위해 마련됐다. 행사에는 한국사법교육원 이영근 이사장과 김사녀 지원장을 비롯해 진재광 총동문회 수석부회장, 송동철 제8기 회장 등 관계자와 신입 원우들이 참석해 자리를 함께했다.

이날 입학식은 김사녀 지원장의 환영사로 시작됐다. 김 지원장은 “시민이 법을 알아야 자신의 권리를 지키고 건강한 지역사회를 만들 수 있다”며 “9기 원우들이 14주 과정 동안 법의 가치를 깊이 이해하고 지역사회의 리더로 성장하길 기대한다”고 말했다.

이어 이영근 이사장의 축사와 함께 총동문회 측의 격려가 이어지며 신입 원우들의 새로운 출발을 응원했다.

제9기 원우들은 앞으로 기초 법률부터 생활 밀착형 법률까지 다양한 교육을 받게 되며, 수료 이후에는 지역사회 법률 봉사와 법 문화 확산 활동에도 참여할 예정이다.

한편 경기중부시민로스쿨은 안양·군포·의왕 지역을 중심으로 시민 대상 법률 교육을 꾸준히 이어오고 있으며, 지역사회 법률 인식 제고와 법률 복지 향상에 기여하고 있다.

The Gyeonggi Jungbu Citizens Law School, which operates under the motto of “cultivating civic consciousness while learning the law,” has opened its doors for the new semester.

The Gyeonggi Jungbu Citizens Law School held its 9th cohort entrance ceremony on March 23 at the auditorium on the 5th floor of the Anyang-Gwacheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, officially commencing its educational schedule.

This entrance ceremony was organized to provide practical legal knowledge to local citizens and to spread the spirit of the rule of law for a fair society. The event was attended by officials including Lee Young-geun, Chairman of the Korea Institute of Judicial Education, and Kim Sa-nyeo, Head of the Branch, as well as Jin Jae-gwang, Senior Vice President of the General Alumni Association, and Song Dong-cheol, President of the 8th Cohort, along with new students.

The entrance ceremony began with a welcoming address by Head of the Branch, Kim Sa-nyeo.
