김성제 의왕시장이 지난 5월 30일 LH의왕과천사업본부에서 이한준 LH 사장을 면담, 의왕시 주요 현안사항에 대해 논의했다.

김성제 시장과 이한준 사장은 이날 △국철1호선, 동인선에 의왕시 경유 추가 정거장(월암역, 왕곡역)신설, △GTX-C 의왕역 시설 개량비 지원, △위례~과천선 의왕연장 광역교통개선대책 반영 △경수대로~백운밸리 연결도로 신설, △공공주택지구 내 주민편익시설 지원, △앵커기업 유치를 위한 도시지원시설용지 비율 확대, △3기신도시의 조속한 보상 일정 통보 및 신속한 사업 추진 등 총 7건에 대해 논의했다.

김성제 시장은 “국가 주거 안정 정책을 위해 의왕시에서 선도적 역할을 하고 있으나, 지역의 주요 현안 사항의 해소와 공공 복리 증진을 위해 국가적 차원의 정책적 지원이 반드시 필요하다”며, “대규모 도시개발사업의 성공적인 추진을 위해 LH공사의 적극적인 관심과 지원을 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
