경기도의회 김성수 의원(더불어민주당, 안양1)이 지난 9월 25일 국회도서관 대강당에서 열린 제13회 2025 대한민국의정대상 지방자치행정대상 시상식에서 지방자치발전 공헌대상을 수상했다.

재선 경기도의원인 김 의원은 제11대 도의회 후반기 건설교통위원으로 활동하며 건설·교통·철도·물류 등 주요 현안은 물론 문화·경제 분야까지 폭넓게 다루며 도민 생활과 직결된 정책 현안 해결에 힘써왔다.

특히 스마트관광, 청소년 문화예술 활동 지원, 철도 지하화, 자전거 이용 활성화 등 생활 밀착형 조례를 대표 발의했으며, 집행부를 향한 견제와 협력을 병행하며 ‘사람 중심·민생 중심’ 의정 구현에 앞장서 왔다는 평가를 받고 있다.

김성수 의원은 수상 소감으로 “뜻깊은 상을 주신 관계자 여러분께 감사드린다”며, “앞으로도 55만 안양 시민과 1,420만 경기도민의 민생 현안을 해결하며 도민이 살기 좋은 경기도, 진정한 지방자치를 실현해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Gyeonggi Provincial Council Member Kim Seong-soo (Democratic Party of Korea, Anyang 1) received the Grand Prize for Contributions to Local Autonomy Development at the 13th 2025 Republic of Korea Legislative Awards Local Autonomy Administration Awards Ceremony held at the National Assembly Library Auditorium on September 25th.

Representative Kim, a second-term member of the provincial council, served as a member of the Construction and Transportation Committee in the latter half of the 11th Provincial Council. He addressed a wide range of key issues, including construction, transportation, railways, and logistics, as well as cultural and economic issues, and worked diligently to address policy issues directly related to the lives of residents.

In particular, he has sponsored numerous ordinances closely related to daily life, including smart tourism, support for youth cultural and artistic activities, undergrounding railways, and promoting bicycle use. He is recognized for his leadership in implementing a "people-centered and livelihood-centered" legislative approach, maintaining checks and balances with the executive branch while also cooperating with it.
