경기도의회 김성수 의원(더불어민주당, 안양1)이 지난 10월 21일 안양시로부터 ‘구 농림축산검역본부 녹지공간 보행환경 개선사업’과 ‘안양4동 노외주차장 정비공사’ 등 지역 현안사업 추진계획에 대한 업무보고를 받고 사업 추진 방향을 점검했다.

안양시 만안구 안양로 175 일원에서 추진 중인 ‘구 농림축산검역본부 녹지공간 보행환경 개선사업’은 교통약자와 지역 주민의 이동 편의 향상을 위해 보행로 정비, 보도블록 교체, 조명 설치 등을 포함한 생활밀착형 환경개선 사업이다.

또한 ‘안양4동 노외주차장 정비공사’는 노후화된 중앙시장 인근 주차장의 이용 환경을 개선하기 위해 추진되고 있다. 이번 공사에는 철골조 재도색, 노후 콘크리트 보수, 도막방수 재시공, LED 조명 교체뿐 아니라 엘리베이터 신설도 포함돼 있다.

김성수 의원은 “두 사업 모두 시민의 안전과 생활 편의를 높이는 꼭 필요한 현장형 사업”이라며, “사업이 계획대로 차질 없이 진행될 수 있도록 경기도 차원의 지원을 적극 검토하겠다”고 밝혔다.

김 의원은 이어서 “노후 기반시설 개선과 교통약자 이동 편의 증진은 지역 균형발전의 출발점”이라며, “앞으로도 안양시민이 체감할 수 있는 실질적 생활 인프라 확충에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
