의왕도시공사(사장 노성화)는 의왕시 왕송호수공원의 체험형 레저시설 ‘왕송호수 어드벤처’가 동절기 휴장을 마치고 오는 3월 14일부터 운영을 재개한다고 밝혔다.

왕송호수 어드벤처는 청소년과 어린이를 주요 이용 대상으로 하는 체험형 레저시설로, 가족 단위 방문객과 성인도 함께 즐길 수 있는 활동형 체험 공간이다.

해당 시설은 동절기 안전사고 예방과 시설 점검을 위해 지난해 12월부터 휴장했으며, 공사는 재개장을 앞두고 시설 전반에 대한 안전 점검과 정비를 실시해 이용객들이 보다 안전하고 쾌적한 환경에서 체험을 즐길 수 있도록 했다.

최재경 공사 교통레저처장은 “왕송호수 어드벤처는 역동적인 체험을 선호하는 청소년과 가족 단위 방문객들에게 꾸준히 사랑받는 명소”라며 “안전한 시설 운영과 함께 다양한 체험 콘텐츠를 발굴해 수도권을 대표하는 익사이팅 레저 공간으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 왕송호수 어드벤처는 3월 14일부터 주말(토·일) 하루 4회(10:00, 13:00, 14:30, 16:00) 운영된다. 이용권은 현장에서 구매할 수 있으며, 우천이나 강풍 등 기상 상황이 악화될 경우 이용객 안전을 위해 운영이 일시 중단될 수 있다.
