안양공업고등학교가 장애 학생들의 실질적인 자립과 전문적인 직무 능력 향상을 위해 지역 사회 전문 기관과 힘을 모았다. 안양공업고등학교(교장 홍순강)는 지난 20일, 경기북부장애인가족지원센터와 ‘장애학생 직업역량 강화 및 상호 협력체계 구축을 위한 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 고등학교 졸업 후 2년제 진로·직업교육 과정에 재학 중인 전공과 발달장애 학생 23명을 대상으로, 보다 전문적이고 체계적인 취업 기반을 마련해주기 위해 추진됐다.

양 기관은 이번 협약을 통해 휠체어 등 장애인 보조기기를 전문적으로 관리하고 수리하는 ‘보조기기 관리사’ 양성 과정을 공동 운영하기로 했다. 총 10회기(30시간)에 걸쳐 진행되는 직무 교육 프로그램은 학생들이 실제 현장에서 쓰이는 기술을 습득하고 관련 자격증까지 취득할 수 있도록 실무 중심으로 구성됐다.
