경기도교육청이 ‘세계 보건의 날’을 맞아 인공지능(AI)과 첨단 과학 기술을 접목한 새로운 형태의 학생 건강교육 서비스에 나선다. 도교육청은 9일부터 도내 920여 개 학교를 대상으로 ‘찾아가는 과학 기반 건강교육’을 본격적으로 운영하며, 기존의 이론 중심 교육에서 탈피해 학생 스스로 자신의 건강 상태를 확인하고 개선하는 체험 중심의 환경을 구축한다.

이번 교육의 핵심은 첨단 장비를 활용한 정밀 진단과 참여형 프로그램이다. 학생들은 AI 신체 건강 검진 장비를 통해 척추 측만증과 거북목 여부를 확인하고, 고성능 의료 검진 기기로 눈 건강 상태를 정밀하게 측정하게 된다.

특히 ‘인공지능 아기 돌보기’ 등 과학 기술을 융합한 성교육 장비를 도입해 실질적인 체험 기회를 넓히고, 마약 및 약물 오남용 예방을 위해 연극과 뮤지컬 같은 흥미 유발 콘텐츠를 적극 활용한다.

지역 의료계와의 협력을 통한 데이터 기반의 전문성 강화도 눈에 띈다. 경기도의사협회와 약사회 등 주요 의료단체 전문가들이 학교를 직접 방문해 현장 지도를 돕고, 보건교사들의 질의응답을 데이터베이스로 구축한다. 이렇게 쌓인 자료는 향후 인공지능 기반의 건강 상담 및 학교 의료 데이터 시스템의 기초 자료로 활용되어 더욱 정교한 보건 행정을 가능케 할 전망이다.

In celebration of World Health Day, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is launching a new form of student health education service that combines artificial intelligence (AI) with cutting-edge scientific technology. Starting on the 9th, the Office will fully operate the ‘Visiting Science-Based Health Education’ program for approximately 920 schools in the province. Moving away from traditional theory-centered education, the program aims to establish an experience-oriented environment where students can independently check and improve their own health status.

The core of this education lies in precise diagnosis using advanced equipment and participatory programs. Students will use AI physical health checkup equipment to identify scoliosis and forward head posture, and high-performance medical diagnostic devices to precisely measure their eye health.

In particular, the program will expand opportunities for practical experience by introducing sex education equipment that integrates science and technology, such as ‘AI Baby Care,’ and will actively utilize engaging content like plays and musicals to prevent drug and substance abuse.

The strengthening of data-driven expertise through collaboration with the local medical community is also noteworthy. Experts from major medical organizations, such as the Gyeonggi Medical Association and the Gyeonggi Pharmaceutical Association, visit schools in person to provide on-site guidance and build a database of questions and answers from school nurses. The accumulated data is expected to serve as foundational material for AI-based health counseling and school medical data systems in the future, enabling more sophisticated health administration.
