군포시가 시민이 직접 시정에 참여해 정책을 제안하는 민관 협치 기구인 ‘제4기 시민행복위원회’를 구성하고 본격적인 운영에 들어갔다. 군포시는 지난 3일 시청 대회의실에서 하은호 군포시장과 공개 모집 등을 통해 선발된 위원 70여 명이 참석한 가운데 위촉식 및 전체 회의를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 4기 위원회는 다양한 연령대와 직업군을 가진 시민 75명으로 구성되어 시정 전반에 걸쳐 폭넓은 민심을 수렴할 수 있을 것으로 보인다. 위원회는 앞으로 자치행정, 기업재정, 도시주택, 안전환경교통, 사회복지 등 5개 분과에서 활동하며 지역의 주요 현안을 발굴하고 실질적인 정책 대안을 모색하는 역할을 수행한다.

행사는 1부 위촉장 수여식에 이어 2부에서는 협치의 가치와 위원의 역할을 이해하는 소통 워크숍 및 역량 강화 교육이 진행됐다. 이후 열린 분과별 회의에서는 분과위원장을 선출하고 향후 운영 방향을 논의하며 활동의 기틀을 다졌다. 시민행복위원회는 「군포시 협치 활성화를 위한 시민행복위원회 구성 및 운영 조례」에 근거하여 운영되는 시민 참여 민관협치 기구로 정기적인 분과 회의와 공론장 운영을 통해 시민의 아이디어를 시정에 반영하는 창구 역할을 하게 된다.
