경기도가 전세사기 피해 예방을 위해 전국 최초로 공인중개사와 함께 현장 중심의 예방 사업을 추진하는 ‘경기 안전전세 프로젝트’가 제도화됐다.

경기도의회는 지난 7월 23일 개최된 경기도의회 제385회 본회의에서 유영일 도시환경위원회 부위원장이 대표발의한 ‘경기도 전세사기 예방 및 안전전세 관리단 운영 조례안’을 의결했다.

경기도가 2024년 7월 발대식을 개최하며 시작된 ‘경기 안전전세 프로젝트’에는 현재 경기도에 등록된 공인중개사 약 3만1,000 명 중 약 1만6,000 명이 참여해 전체의 53%를 넘었다.

이번 조례의 핵심은 ‘경기 안전전세 프로젝트’를 제도화해 공인중개사와 협력으로 계약 단계부터 전세사기 피해를 사전 차단하는 현장 중심의 예방체계를 구축하는 것.
