경기도가 전국 지방자치단체 중 처음으로 지역 맞춤형 한의약 정책을 전문적으로 연구하고 실행할 ‘경기도 한의약정책지원단’을 전격 가동한다. 1,421만 도민의 건강 증진을 위해 한방 의료의 공공성을 강화하고, 거동이 불편한 어르신들을 위한 재택의료 모델을 정립하겠다는 포부다.

도는 공모 절차를 거쳐 전문성과 인프라를 갖춘 동국대학교 일산불교한방병원(병원장 김동일)을 수탁 운영기관으로 최종 선정하고 본격적인 사업에 착수했다고 밝혔다.

이번 정책지원단 출범의 핵심 과제 중 하나는 고령화 시대에 발맞춘 ‘한의약 돌봄 및 재택의료’ 모델 개발이다. 도가 현재 운영 중인 ‘찾아가는 돌봄의료센터’와 연계하여, 한의사가 직접 환자의 가정을 방문해 침·뜸 치료와 건강 상담을 제공하는 방문형 의료 서비스의 표준안을 만든다는 구상이다.
