군포시의회 박상현 의원(국민의힘, 군포라)이 대표발의한 인공지능(AI) 관련 3개 조례안이 지난 9월 18일 열린 제283회 군포시의회 임시회 제2차 본회의를 통과했다. 경기도 기초의회에서 AI를 산업·행정·교육 전반에 걸쳐 종합적으로 다룬 제도 제정은 이번이 처음이다.

박상현의원이 대표발의한 AI 관련 조례는 △군포시 인공지능(AI) 산업 육성 및 지원 조례, △군포시 인공지능행정 구현에 관한 조례, △군포시 인공지능 미래인재 양성 조례 등이다. 이를 통해 군포시는 산업 경쟁력 강화, 행정 효율성 제고, 미래 인재 양성의 제도적 기반을 마련하게 됐다.

박상현 의원은 “AI 산업은 새로운 일자리와 혁신 생태계를 창출할 핵심 분야”라며, “산업 지원 조례를 통해 지역경제의 지속가능한 성장을 뒷받침하겠다”고 말했다. 그는 이어서 “AI 행정 조례는 행정의 효율성과 생산성을 높이고, 미래인재 양성 조례는 체계적인 교육 기반 마련으로 정보격차 해소에 기여할 것”이라고 강조했다.

군포시는 최근 ‘웨어러블 로봇 실증센터 구축사업’ 등 제조업과 IT 융합 산업에 주력하고 있으며, 이번 조례 제정을 계기로 ‘AI 행정 도시’, ‘첨단 산업 도시’, ‘미래인재 교육 도시’로의 도약을 기대하고 있다.
