경기도와 민주노총 경기도본부가 노동 존중 사회 실현을 위한 노정 협력 체계를 구축하기로 했다.

경기도는 5일 경기도청에서 전국민주노동조합총연맹 경기도본부와 ‘노정협의 협력 선언식’을 열고 노정 간 신뢰를 바탕으로 한 협력 선언문을 채택했다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사에는 고영인 경기도 경제부지사와 김도형 노동국장, 김진희 민주노총 경기도본부장 등이 참석했다.

앞서 양측은 지난 1월 노정협의 상견례를 통해 첫 공식 만남을 갖고 노동 현안과 협력 방안을 논의한 바 있다. 이번 협력 선언은 지속적인 소통과 협력 기반을 마련하기 위한 후속 조치다.

경기도와 민주노총 경기도본부는 선언문을 통해 ▲공공부문 노동권 보장 및 확대 ▲노동 가치를 우선으로 한 행정 구현 ▲연 2회(상·하반기) 정례회의 추진 ▲경기도 정책의 공공성 강화와 폭넓은 대화 창구 구축 등을 약속했다.

또한 경기도는 노정협의 요구 사항의 정책 반영 여부를 검토하기 위해 3월 중 관계 부서가 참여하는 실무회의를 열어 구체적인 논의를 이어갈 계획이다.

고영인 경제부지사는 “노동 존중 사회로 나아가기 위해서는 노정 간 협력과 지속적인 소통이 중요하다”며 “경기도와 민주노총이 협조 체계를 구축해 실질적인 변화를 만들어 갈 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
